PBA Workers’ Compensation Program

Our Workers’ Compensation Program is an alternative market program established by the Pennsylvania Builders Association in 1999 to help members by leveraging their group buying power to save on workers’ compensation costs.

About PBA

Our Workers’ Compensation Program is an “alternative market program” established by the Pennsylvania Builders Association in 1999.

Serving Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland.

Since program inception, we have produced more than $166,000,000 in direct written premium for thousands of accounts. Over the past 25 years, the program has helped those in the homebuilding industry achieve these goals regardless of the insurance and economic cycles of the marketplace.

PBA Work Comp Benefits

Stable rates and competitive pricing.
Proactive claims handling and medical cost management.
High-quality loss control and risk management services.
No charge for subcontractors who carry a General Liability policy of at least $300,000.
Parallel Pay® pay-as-you-go program.
Potential program dividends.

I was always with SWIF and the rates were through the roof. My first year in the PBA Workers’ Compensation program, I saved close to $7,000 a year in premium. The program has been great for me.

Since joining YBA in 1985 we have improved our loss history and even received money back in dividends through the workers' compensation program. I would recommend any homebuilder who places safety at the forefront of their operation consider becoming a member.

I am thrilled to share my experience with the Pennsylvania Builders Association Workers' Compensation Program. Thanks to their partnership with Eastern Alliance and parallel pay, managing my workers' compensation has become a breeze. The smaller, bi-weekly payment structure has made a significant difference, eliminating the burden of large, infrequent payments. Now, I no longer have to fret about year-end surprises due to overtime or data discrepancies. This program has provided me with peace of mind and the confidence to focus on my business, knowing that my workers' compensation needs are in capable hands. I highly recommend the Pennsylvania Builders Association Workers' Compensation Program to fellow businesses looking for a stress-free and efficient solution.

Switching to the PBA Workers' Compensation Program was a game-changer for us. In just the first year, we saved an impressive $3,500, which covered our $650 annual membership fee and left us with additional savings. The monthly payment option is a massive advantage, sparing us from year-end financial stress during slower periods. This program is a perfect fit for small companies like ours. The occasional surprise rebate is an extra perk that reinforces the loyalty we have for PBA. It's a win-win situation – we take care of them, and they take care of us. With such outstanding results, we have no intentions of going anywhere else. When something works this well, there's no need to fix it.
