About PBA

Our Workers’ Compensation Program is an “alternative market program” established by the Pennsylvania Builders Association in 1999.

Serving Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland.

Since program inception, we have produced more than $160,000,000 in direct written premium for thousands of accounts. Over the past 23 years, the program has helped those in the homebuilding industry achieve these goals regardless of the insurance and economic cycles of the marketplace.

PBA Work Comp Benefits

Stable rates and competitive pricing.
Proactive claims handling and medical cost management.
High-quality loss control and risk management services.
No charge for subcontractors who carry a General Liability policy of at least $300,000.
Parallel Pay® pay-as-you-go program.
Potential program dividends.

I was always with SWIF and the rates were through the roof. My first year in the PBA Workers’ Compensation program, I saved close to $7,000 a year in premium. The program has been great for me.

Since joining YBA in 1985 we have improved our loss history and even received money back in dividends through the workers' compensation program. I would recommend any homebuilder who places safety at the forefront of their operation consider becoming a member.
